Next week, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will return to New York City to host the first-ever in-person event of the Archewell Foundation, which will center around mental health.
‘The Archewell Foundation Parents’ Summit: Mental Wellness in a Digital Age’ is the event that the Duke and Duchess are hosting in the city to commemorate World Mental Health Day. The goal of the seminar is to empower families by helping parents navigate the mental health of adolescents and young adults and providing them with local and international support.

The summit is expected to be very emotional because speakers will include parents whose child died and how social media affected their loss. Some of the parents involved have been working directly with Harry and Meghan.

“The families have been engaged with The Archewell Foundation for the past year, bolstering community and driving towards solutions,” an Archewell spokesperson stated. Their shared goal is to ensure that other families do not experience the same fate by pooling their individual experiences, data, and research.

“At the event, Harry and Meghan will also personally appear and engage in a conversation with Surgeon General Vivek Murthy regarding the significance of mental health awareness campaigns. Project Healthy Minds board member Carson Daly will serve as moderator for this conversation.

A longstanding partner of Archewell, Project Healthy Minds seeks to address the mental health crisis through a generational and Gen-Z focused approach.
When the Duchess, the Duke, her mother Doria Ragland, and close friends were honored at the Ms. Foundation’s Women of Vision Awards in May, it will be their first time back in the city.
