Meghan Markle cheers as she pulls son Archie on a sleigh in the snow

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex spent some time in Canada prior to deciding to resign as senior royals. They have lived in Montecito, California, since the summer of 2020.

When Prince Harry and Meghan celebrated Thanksgiving and Christmas in a remote home on Vancouver Island in late 2019, Archie was only six months old.

Their Netflix documentary series Harry & Meghan, which debuted in December of last year, featured footage from their stay there.

Cute home videos capture young Archie’s first snow and sleigh ride experiences.

As Meghan pulls her baby son through the snow, she can’t help but laugh and cheer.

Satisfied in a red wooden sleigh, Archie gazes around in wonder at his snow-covered surroundings while wearing a warm Mini Boden Panda snowsuit.

In the documentary, the Duchess describes the family’s stay in Canada, saying, “I just loved being there.” It was simply so serene. For a minute, you could breathe.”

Prior to their declaration that they will be retiring from public life in January 2020, Harry and Meghan decided to take a lengthy six-week vacation in the United Kingdom.

The Sussexes spent a brief time living at Tyler Perry’s estate on the Beverly Ridge Estate in Los Angeles before buying their ideal home in Montecito.
