The Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited their royal cousin in Portugal last month

Meghan Markle’s first meeting with Princess Eugenie’s new baby boy

Earlier this month, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took a quick trip to Portugal, where they paid a visit to Princess Eugenie and her spouse Jack Brooksbank, their royal cousin.

However, Meghan’s trip will have been particularly memorable because it’s thought that this was her first encounter with Ernest, Eugenie and Jack’s new baby boy.

Harry and Meghan lodged at the upscale coastal community of Melides at Eugenie and Jack’s house. The family is rumored to reside at a property on the CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club grounds, where Jack oversees the sales and marketing department.

Without a doubt, the Sussexes will have bonded well with August, the two-year-old, and Ernest, the four-month-old baby.

Since Ernest’s arrival in May, Harry has returned to the UK, primarily to testify in court in June regarding his phone hacking lawsuit against Mirror Group Newspapers. Given that Eugenie, who is on maternity leave, splits her time between the UK and Portugal, it is likely that he has already met baby Ernest.

After spending their vacation in Portugal, Harry and Meghan traveled to Germany to attend the Invictus Games in Dusseldorf, which concluded on September 16.

The Sussexes took a plane to Lisbon and went directly to Melides, where Jack and Eugenie reside, according to the Portuguese magazine Nova Gente.

After spending four days there, the couple boarded a British Airways flight on September 20 and headed for London Heathrow. From there, they took another flight to Los Angeles to be reunited with their two-year-old daughter Lilibet and their four-year-old son Archie. Eugenie has already traveled to Montecito, where the Sussexes reside, approximately 1.5 hours’ drive from Los Angeles, to see her cousin.

Where do Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank live in Portugal?

Jack works at CostaTerra Golf and Ocean Club, so he and Eugenie alternate between the UK and Portugal. The website states that there are presently “40 premier estate homesites” in the development; however, when it is finished, there will be “146 estate homesites, and more than 100 additional turnkey club residences, golf cottages, and luxury villas” in the gated community.

27-year-old Jack started his new job last year. Multimillionaire real estate magnate Mike Meldman, along with George Clooney and Rande Gerber, is one of the three founders of Casamigos tequila and owns the resort.

Jack and Mike have a lengthy history together, having served as brand ambassadors for Casamigos tequila in the past. He was hired to handle the Ocean Club and CostaTerra Golf’s marketing, sales, and promotions.

It appears to be the most perfect setting for bringing up two kids. There are plenty of opportunities for surfing, sailing, snorkeling, paddleboarding, and catamaran cruises to spot dolphins on the area’s immaculate beaches. Among the more active outdoor activities available are horseback riding, hunting for partridges and wild boar, and hiking on the pristine trails.

Additionally, CostaTerra is described as “authentic, unpretentious, and fun” on the website. It’s possible that Jack and Eugenie showed Harry and Meghan around some of the social hubs of the development, such as CasaNova, a beachside restaurant with a private lounge and a shabby-chic vibe that’s perfect for dining with your toes in the sand. Alternatively, they might have spent time together at The Nest, an adult tree house tucked away in the pines with views of the ocean and golf course. An ideal location for a sundowner.
