Unexpectedly, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry received a royal tribute, though not in the way you might anticipate.
Patrick J. Adams, Meghan’s on-screen love interest and former co-star on Suits, gave the Duke and Duchess a special mention in his Instagram bio after the popular show was rerun on Netflix.
In the most direct manner possible, the 42-year-old made the hilarious reference to the former royal family. “The guy from that show you’re watching on that app because that girl married that prince,” wrote the message.

For nine seasons, ending in 2019, Meghan and Patrick portrayed Rachel Zane and Michael Ross, respectively, on the American television series. Since the show, the two have remained close friends, and in 2018, Patrick and his Pretty Little Liars co-star wife Troian Bellisario attended the couple’s royal wedding.
Meghan disclosed in her since-canceled blog, The Tig, that she felt she had “blown” her audition despite landing the role.
In 2015, she wrote: “I blew it. I told my agent that following my pilot audition for “A Legal Mind.” I was preoccupied, I kept forgetting my lines, and I messed up. which is unfortunate because I was hoping for this one. I’m pretty fond of Rachel. But I was a fool.

“I was in no mood to let go, so I went home and ate my feelings, which were probably some variation of bread and cheese (pizza, quesadilla, whatever). I missed my chance to get what I wanted. Or so I believed.
“It turned out that they were interested in me for the part and wanted to test me (it’s a scary process to audition for studio and network executives in addition to the producers).
“My destiny for what would become known as Suits around the world was going to be determined by those suits.”
She went on: “I received a last-minute note about my appearance; they were looking for something more businesslike, with my hair pulled back.

“I spent forty-five dollars on an outfit while traveling to the audition. That black dress is still hanging in my closet. I had my hair blown out at DryBar because it was near my house and within my budget, but there was no Tom Ford pencil skirt or Louboutins on my feet. A Prada blouse was located on Rodeo Drive, many moons away.
“After parking my squeaky car, I rode the elevator up an endless number of floors, entering a new chapter in my life like a time machine. Then again, I was ignorant of it.”

She admitted that, looking back, she had “no idea” that the event would “change her life.”
