The Duke of Sussex was spotted on Friday, the one-year anniversary of his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II’s passing, leaving St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle to pay his respects.

Her Late Majesty is interred in the King George VI Memorial Chapel with her late husband, the Duke of Edinburgh.

We are aware that additional royal family members visited the chapel on Friday morning in private to pay their respects.

A private church service was attended by the King and Queen at Crathie Kirk, which is close to the Balmoral estate.

The King’s cousins, Lady Sarah Chatto and the 2nd Earl of Snowdon, joined Charles and Camilla.

Harry’s appearance follows his Thursday night speech at the WellChild Awards in London, where he honoured his late grandmother.

During the event, the Duke thought back to the past 12 months, when the Queen fell ill and he had to rush to Balmoral in Aberdeenshire, missing the awards.

“As you know, I was unable to attend the awards last year due to the passing of my grandmother,” he stated.

I know that exactly one year later, she is looking down on all of us tonight, happy that we’re together, and continuing to highlight such an amazing community. As you also probably know, she would have been the first to insist that I still come to be with you all instead of going to her.

Harry is scheduled to depart for Germany on Saturday in order to attend the Invictus Games Dusseldorf opening ceremony.

Soon after the competition starts, the Duchess of Sussex will take a plane from California to join her husband at the Games.
