Prince Harry travels to London ahead of the late Queen’s first death anniversary

Prior to competing at this year’s Invictus Games the following week, Prince Harry has a packed schedule that includes attending the WellChild Awards on Thursday and commemorating the passing of his late grandmother Queen Elizabeth II the following day.

As he makes his way to London for the WellChild Awards on Wednesday, the Duke of Sussex will say goodbye to his wife Meghan Markle and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Harry will be making his first trip back to the UK following the coronation of his father, King Charles.

The 38-year-old Prince Harry, the national charity for seriously ill children and their families’ patron, will be present at the esteemed awards ceremony organized by GSK. Additionally, since we are the official media partners for the touching occasion, the ceremony will be streamed LIVE on HELLO!’s homepage.

“WellChild has been transforming the lives of children and young people across the UK for over 40 years, providing critical care that prioritizes the physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing of these individuals and their families,” the father of two stated ahead of the Awards.

“I am constantly inspired by the bravery, strength, and unwavering devotion of those who stand by these young people. It is a privilege for me to be a part of this year’s awards ceremony and recognize their amazing work.”

At a pre-ceremony reception, Prince Harry, who has attended the WellChild Awards on eleven previous occasions, will spend time getting to know each winner and their families, hearing their stories, and helping to make lasting memories.

His arrival coincides with his wife Meghan’s and his mother-in-law’s recent sighting at Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour in Los Angeles on Friday night. The couple watched the concert from a private box and were seen dancing in a photo that was posted on X, the former name of Twitter.

The Duke went to see Inter Miami CF play Los Angeles Football Club at BMO Stadium two days later.

Harry is reportedly planning to stay in the UK on August 8, the first anniversary of the late Queen’s passing. Meghan is scheduled to depart for Germany once the games start, but she will not be traveling with him to the UK. But their kids are staying in Montecito, California.
