Meghan addressed the audience and said, “Good evening everyone, thank you so much for your service and to all the family and friends here that have been there supporting you along the way because this is service.”

“Now, it is my distinguished honour to introduce someone who I believe you will find fascinating,” she continued. In order to make these games as perfect as possible for each of you, he has spent numerous late nights and early mornings planning for them.

“I could not love and respect him more, and I know many of you feel the same way because he is your fellow veteran, having served in the military for ten years and two tours of duty in Afghanistan. He is also the founder of Invictus Games and the father of our two young children, Archie and Lili.

“This is the Invictus family, and this is dedication. Please give my amazing husband, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, a warm welcome to the podium.

A dazed Harry responded by kissing his wife and saying, “Thank you, my love.”

You need to be joyful, and I believe I made a genuine effort to adopt the British sensibility of maintaining a stiff upper lip.

Additionally, they call each other “Haz” and “Meg” with affection. Harry is confirmed to travel to London for the WellChild Awards, sponsored by GSK, on September 7. September is going to be a busy month for the Sussexes.
