Social media accounts for Prince William and Princess Catherine are frequently where the Wales family posts serious messages, with posts ranging from condolence messages to captions praising their charitable work.
So it surprised their fans when, on Saturday, the Prince and Princess of Wales posted a jovial tribute to furry friends in honour of International Dog Day, with the song Who Let The Dogs Out? as the background music. through the Baha Men.

“Is the hashtag #DogsOnRoyalVisits a thing?! “, the caption for the jovial song read, “accompanied a roundup of all the times Princess Catherine and Prince William have encountered hounds during their royal engagements this year.” Here are just a few of the canines we have met this year while travelling in honour of #InternationalDogDay.
Fans were giddy over the post, which shows William cuddling up to Labradors, Golden Retrievers, and Spaniels in the video.
One person commented, “Absolutely gorgeous video to watch,” while another added, “Ahh love this!! “Yes to more dog content,” and “Please make it a royal tradition!”

Prince William is a big dog lover and enjoys meeting them during engagements. Last September, shortly after his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, passed away, he made an emotional remark while meeting a dog.
Prince William greeted a dog in the crowd and said poignantly: “Doggies at this time are very important.” This occurred during a walkabout at Windsor Castle where Prince William and Princess Catherine thanked royal supporters for their support during the trying time.

The family had another black spaniel before Orla arrived, named Lupo, who sadly passed away in November 2020.
The Wales family announced the loss of their beloved dog, Lupo, on Instagram at the time. “He has been at the heart of our family for the past nine years and we will miss him so much.”
