The Duchess of Sussex was clearly excited about her romantic trip

Meghan Markle’s cheeky aeroplane selfie proves she’s just like the rest of us

Even though Meghan Markle has travelled extensively for work-related events, her “single girl summer,” and numerous romantic getaways with Prince Harry, it appears that she still gets as excited to board a plane as the rest of us.

In a throwback photo from her third date with Harry, when the prince whisked her off to Botswana, Meghan couldn’t help but take a selfie before boarding the aircraft.

The brunette beauty smiled poutily while donning a light-gray scarf around her neck and Ray-Ban sunglasses. The Air Botswana jet was clearly visible in the background, indicating that the couple had taken a commercial flight rather than a private jet for their adventure.

When the couple discussed their early romance in episode one of their Harry & Meghan docuseries on Netflix, it was made known.

Meghan said, “I’m getting on the plane, and I’m going to the middle of the bush,” as the picture appeared on the screen. What? How am I acting? What if we don’t get along? We are then stranded in a tent in the middle of the bush.

Fortunately, Meghan’s leap of faith paid off, and the new couple spent nights under the stars, observed amazing animals, and developed closer bonds.

There was no distraction and no cell phone reception, so we could both just be who we were, said Meghan.

Harry stated that “everything felt natural and normal.” Before the rest of the world — and the media — joined it, we had to get to know one another, he continued.

The Duchess was spotted wearing a pair of Daisy Dukes in another holiday photo. She added a white vest and a khaki waistcoat to the holiday essentials. She held a scarf in her hand and posed while wearing sunglasses. She had a lot of bracelets on her wrists, including a sentimental pair that she shared with her partner Harry.

Due to his time spent there following the passing of his mother, the late Princess Diana, Prince Harry has a very strong connection to the continent of Africa.

“Fifteen years I’ve been coming here, it’s a sense of escapism, a real sense of purpose,” he said during a visit in 2019. Over the years, I’ve made some of my closest friends here. It was a nice place to get away from it all when I came here in 1997 or 1998 immediately following the death of my mother. I have a strong sense of connection to both Africa and this place.

Did you know that Botswana is the actual source of the main diamond in Meghan Markle’s engagement ring? In an incredibly romantic gesture for the proposal, Harry obtained it covertly.
