The Duchess of Sussex turns 42 on 4 August

Meghan Markle’s annual birthday wish is so empowering

On Friday, August 4, the Duchess of Sussex will turn 42. She undoubtedly has special plans with Prince Harry and their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The former Suits star once gave us some insight into the things she liked to wish for every year.

On her now-defunct lifestyle blog, The Tig, Meghan used to share her personal reflections, travel and beauty advice, and recipes.

The future Duchess stated in a post from 2016 that birthdays are like your own personal New Year. You have the opportunity to set personal goals and forecast your future by making resolutions.

“More surprises, more adventure, more chances to develop, more days full of chuckles and sassy jokes, more delectable meals, and more inspiration,” she continued. Continue to be inspired.

Those are some pretty motivating words, in our opinion.

In the summer of 2016, Harry and Meghan set up a date at Soho House’s Dean Street Townhouse in London, sparking their relationship.

Despite the fact that the Duchess typically celebrates her birthday alone, Harry is said to have taken her to Botswana for her 36th birthday in 2017.

The couple went to Charlie van Straubenzee and Daisy Jenks’ wedding in Surrey a year after she celebrated her first birthday as a member of the royal family. With a black Philip Treacy hat, Aquazzura heels, and a color-blocked pastel midi dress from Club Monaco, Meghan looked stunning.

The Duchess’ birthday in 2019 was particularly memorable because it was the first for which she had become a mother. With their three-month-old son Archie, Harry and Meghan spent the day alone at their Frogmore Cottage home in Windsor.

HELLO! The Luminary Bakery provided the Duchess’ birthday cake, it was exclusively revealed at the time. “Happy Birthday Meghan” was written in chocolate icing and adorned the three-tiered carrot cake beautifully with dried oranges and other garnishes.

Prior to settling down permanently in the US, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped down as senior royals in 2020. In July 2020, the couple purchased their first home in Montecito. A year later, at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, their daughter, Lilibet Diana, was born.
