Prince Harry talks bond with Princess Eugenie’s husband Jack Brooksbank

The Duke of Sussex has always been close with Princess Eugenie, his cousin, and their relationship also includes Jack Brooksbank.

During a dinner at Nottingham Cottage in 2016, Eugenie was one of the first members of the royal family that Prince Harry introduced to his future wife, Meghan Markle.

I remember Euge hugging Meg, as if they were sisters, he wrote in an excerpt from his memoir Spare, which was published in January. I recall Charlie, [Harry’s friend], giving me the thumbs up. When I met the rest of my family, I recalled thinking, “If this goes like this, we’re home free.”

Additionally, Harry and Meghan spent a night out in Toronto with Eugenie and Jack before their relationship became widely known. The foursome attended a Halloween party with a post-apocalyptic theme while remaining anonymous, and Harry and Meghan shared private photos in their Netflix docuseries.

Harry later revealed that Meghan loved “Euge and Jack,” and he and Meghan even said that they delayed their first royal tour so they could attend the couple’s wedding in Windsor in October 2018.

We were ecstatic for Euge and Jack because Jack was one of our favorite people, as well as for ourselves because they were getting married. Meg and I postponed our departure for a few days so we could attend the wedding before embarking on our first official overseas trip as a married couple.

Harry also arrived at Westminster Abbey at the same time as Eugenie, Jack, and his other cousins Princess Beatrice, Zara Tindall, and their husbands when he traveled from California to London in May for King Charles and Queen Camilla’s coronation.

The Duke confirmed that he would be traveling “straight to the airport” after the ceremony while sitting next to Jack the entire time and was seen engaging in a lengthy conversation with his cousin’s husband.

Prince Archie, age four, and Princess Lilibet, age two, are comparable in age to the sons of Eugenie and Jack, August, age two, and Ernest, born in May.

In 2022, Eugenie traveled to the US to visit her cousin; in the Netflix series, we see the two of them playing with Archie on the beach, going to the Super Bowl, and riding bicycles.
