When Meghan Markle was spotted for the first time following the revelation that her Netflix docuseries with Prince Harry failed to receive any Emmy nominations, she didn’t seem to care about a thing.
The 41-year-old had a great time visiting the farmer’s market close to her home in Montecito, where she chatted with vendors, sampled local fare, and purchased a fresh bouquet of flowers.
Meghan maintained her coolness while maintaining her sense of style in a loose-fitting white shirt over a light khaki dress that hemmed just above her knees. She hid behind some sunglasses, her long raven hair pulled back into a simple bun, adding a pair of sandals and a large tote bag.
In pictures obtained by Mail Online, the Duchess of Sussex was seen browsing the many tents without her husband but with one of her adored dogs and what appeared to be a security detail. The article claims that while Meghan largely went unnoticed, she did smile politely when some locals did recognize her.
She makes an appearance after the Netflix documentary about her and Harry received no nominations for an Emmy on Wednesday. In the beginning, “Harry & Meghan” was given some thought for Outstanding Documentary and Nonfiction Series, but it was completely disregarded and did not receive any nominations.
The couple’s love story and their difficult choice to leave their positions as senior working royals and move to the US were both covered in the series. Additionally, they shared a lot of personal footage and shared adorable moments with their kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, giving viewers a rare glimpse into their private family life.
Videos showed Lilibet crawling through the grass, Harry riding a bike with Archie on the back, and the two of them spending storytime with their father. The documentary also included a ton of shocking revelations, like Meghan’s claim that her Toronto neighbors were paid by the media to set up a camera in her backyard during the early stages of her relationship with Harry.
The docuseries has been nominated for a Hollywood Critics Award, so it’s not all bad news. When ‘Harry & Meghan’ appeared on the list of nominees for Best Streaming Nonfiction Series earlier this week, it was made public on Twitter.
It stated: “The 2023 HCA TV Awards nominees for Best Streaming Nonfiction Series are: Harry & Meghan, Prehistoric Planet 2, Rainn Wilson and the Geography of Bliss, Rennervations, The 1619 Project, and The Reluctant Traveler with Eugene Levy.”
One fan who praised the program in the comments section said: “The Harry & Meghan series should win this category. Definitely merited! One person said, “Congratulations to the team for a job well done, and congratulations to all nominees. Harry and Meghan have my support.
With 2.4 million viewers on the day of its release, the documentary was a huge success for Netflix.
