The young royal joined his parents the Prince and Princess of Wales and his siblings at the event

Prince Louis looks so grown up as he perfects royal wave at air show

On Friday, Prince Louis of Wales attended a royal engagement with his parents, and we’re shocked by how mature he appears!

The Prince and Princess of Wales’ five-year-old son travelled with his parents and his older siblings: Prince George, and Princess Charlotte to Fairford for the Royal International Air Tattoo, where the kids enjoyed a day of jets, helicopters, and vintage aircraft.

As he and his family met with senior RAF members, Louis appeared to be taking the occasion seriously while wearing a smart navy jumper, white shirt and navy chino shorts.

The cutest royal wave is captured in one image of Louis as he sits on a vehicle on a C17 plane, which must have been an exciting experience for the youngster.

Because it was used to transport the late Queen’s casket in the days leading up to her funeral last September, the C17 aircraft has connections to the royal family.

Louis frequently makes absurd faces when attending royal events with his parents, but today the youngest Wales was well-behaved around his siblings.

Another indication of Louis’ growing maturity was the fact that he started to walk without his parents’ assistance rather than holding their hands.

After finishing his first year at the prestigious Berkshire school Lambrook, close to his family’s home in Windsor, the royal will enter Year 1 in the autumn.

The largest military air show in the world, The Royal International Air Tattoo, takes place every July to raise money for The Royal Air Force Charitable Trust.

George was wearing ear protection when William and Catherine took him to the air show in 2016 just before his third birthday. On Friday, no children from Wales were visible wearing earplugs.

When the couple and their kids arrived at the air show, which was taking place at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire, they were all smiles. Wing Commander Will Essex welcomed them.

The Prince of Wales served with the Search and Rescue Force for more than three years, based at RAF Valley in Anglesey, and the couple have a close relationship with the RAF.

The Princess serves as Honorary Air Commodore of the Air Cadets, while The Prince serves as Honorary Air Commodore of RAF Coningsby.
