After Her Majesty the Queen passed away in September, members of the royal family received condolence letters from all over the world.
Letters and cards poured in for Prince William and Princess Catherine, as well as young Princess Charlotte, it seems.

One young fan who sent in a hand-drawn picture for the seven-year-old royal received a very sweet reply from William and Catherine, according to a recent tweet.
Meredith sent Charlotte a drawing she had made of the Queen and her corgis in an effort to cheer her up. She also wrote the Princess a brief letter. “Dear Princess Charlotte. I drew you a picture of your grandma walking her dogs to remember her.” – it said.
“I am six and one day would like to feed the corgis. Love Meredith.”

Meredith got a formal letter from Kensington Palace in return, along with a happy picture of the Queen and a thank-you note from William and Catherine.
Princess Charlotte, who adored the Queen and referred to her as “Gan-Gan,” had a close relationship with her deceased great-grandmother.
The pair’s physical similarities have been noted by royal observers frequently, and it appears that this connection may deepen in unexpected and significant ways.

According to rumors, King Charles is thinking about bestowing the Duchess of Edinburgh title on his granddaughter as a “fitting” homage to his late mother.
The title, one of the most senior in the Royal Family, will also reflect Charlotte’s place as third in line for the throne, following her father Prince William and her older brother Prince George, age nine.

The late Queen was addressed as Her Royal Highness Princess Elizabeth, Duchess of Edinburgh from the time of her marriage until her accession. Prince Philip held the title of Duke of Edinburgh until his passing in April 2021.
