The publication of Spare earlier this month, which revealed a number of previously unreleased details about Prince Harry’s life as a royal, including which royal he feels closest to, made headlines around the world.
The Duke of Sussex and Nicky Scott, his childhood best friend, were pictured together on Friday as they spent a number of hours at Ganna Walska Lotusland, one of the top ten gardens in the world. Nicky was seen carrying a flask, while Harry was seen carrying three books.
Both of them were dressed for the cold weather, with Harry donning a blue puffer jacket, grey pants, and a hat.
In addition to sporting a pair of sunglasses on top of his head, Nicky was dressed in a grey jacket and jeans.
In the Harry and Meghan Markle Netflix docuseries, Nicky revealed how he and the Prince would talk to one another after lights out. Nicky and Harry first met when they were 13 years old.
He later rose to the position of CEO and co-founder of Pollinum, an environmental organization. With the aid of “traditional forest gardening techniques” that also safeguard current habitats, the company seeks to aid in the regeneration of forest ecosystems.
Nicky continued, “I think that as a young kid, you don’t necessarily have the language to have that complicated mental health chats beyond ‘how are you’ [and] ‘fine’.”
“And perhaps it’s best that you avoid having that conversation because it’s such a touchy subject emotionally,” she added.

Nicky talked about the moment they realized it would never happen when she recalled the Royal Family’s agreement with the media, which stated that Prince William and Prince Harry would be left alone while attending school.
“We had a scrum when we first left the house. Nothing I’ve ever seen of the media everywhere and flashing lights,” he said.
