Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s nickname for Prince William is totally adorable and makes us love them even more - Royal News

Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s nickname for Prince William is totally adorable and makes us love them even more

Prince George, eight, Princess Charlotte, six, and Prince Louis, three, have adorable nicknames for members of the royal family.

The majority of us called our parents “mum” or “dad” as children, but we are not royalty.

Kate Middleton revealed in 2016 that her eldest son, then two years old, calls his great grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, “Gan Gan.”

However, the then Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were in Leicester to pay tribute to Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, the late chairman of Leicester City Football Club.

At that time, Kate said, William was playing football with the kids, and “one of them, I believe it was George, asked, ‘Are you playing football tomorrow, Pops?'”

The Princess of Wales honoured her late grandmother Princess Diana by posting cards made by her children on Mother’s Day. Postcards are addressed to “Granny Diana” by both George and Charlotte.

As she left a beautiful message for the late Princess of Wales, we learned Princess Charlotte’s sweet nickname for her father.

“Greetings, Granny Diana I’m thinking of you on Mother’s Day, and I adore you. Papa is longing for you. Lots of love, Charlotte xxx”

Prince William is referred to as ‘Pops’ by George and ‘Papa’ by Charlotte, but the nicknames don’t stop there.

We were all debating in 2019 about the viral video of Prince William calling his daughter over to push him on the swing and referring to her as “Mignonette” rather than Charlotte.

Mignonette is a French word that means “cute.”

The Duchess of Cambridge is also relieved that her only daughter has a nickname: “Lottie.”

It’ll only be a matter of time before we learn what nicknames Prince Louis, 3, has in store for the rest of the Royal Family.
