Thursday’s appearance by Princess Catherine at Hampton Court Palace to host a reception for the England Wheelchair Rugby League team attracted attention.
The Princess was beaming as she greeted members of the team who had gathered to celebrate their recent success at the Rugby League World Cup, as she is the patron of the Rugby Football league.

The match in November was England’s first since the first match in 2008. England defeated France, the current champions, 28-24.
The 41-year-old Princess wore a wintery plum-colored power suit over a soft white knit and accessorized with matching heels and a gold necklace. She looked as stylish as ever. The mother-of-three looked flawless and wore her famous straight hair in an effortlessly glamorous style.

The princess will learn about the advantages that came from the Wheelchair World Cup taking place at the same time as England’s senior men’s and women’s teams were playing competitive rugby.
The Princess met with Rugby Football League Chair Simon Johnson when she got to the Palace.
Catherine revealed that Prince Louis and Prince George were big football fans during a visit to Twickenham in February of last year, and she said she was “worried” about Louis’ enthusiasm for the sport as he ages.

They’re all having fun, but Louis is being a kamikaze, and we’re worried that as he gets older, he’ll be caught in the middle of everything.
The Princess of Wales joked that she gets most of her exercise by “running after the kids” while revealing that she uses a trampoline to stay in shape.
She also discussed Prince Louis’ enthusiasm for the game, saying: “We’re constantly a little bit competitive with one another. They all enjoy sports, and Louis is a die-hard rugby fan. They are at a stage in life where they simply adore moving around.”

In February of last year, after the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex retired from their roles as working royals, Catherine assumed Prince Harry’s previous responsibilities as patron of the Rugby Football League and the Rugby Football Union.
