The Duke of Sussex is a loving father to Archie, age three, and Lilibet, age one.
The long-awaited memoir, Spare, by Prince Harry, who has previously stated that he has always yearned to be a father, was published earlier this month.
Harry discusses becoming a father and starting a new life in Montecito with his wife, Meghan, in the book’s concluding chapters.

When Harry assisted in bringing his daughter into the world in June 2021 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital, he shared the poignant moment.
The doctor told him it would only take a few minutes, so he told his wife, Meg, that he wanted to be the first face our daughter saw.
Later, the Duke added: “I reached under the neck and back of the tiny body. I drew our precious daughter from that world into this one gently but firmly, as I had seen in movies. I held her for a brief moment while trying to smile at her and see her, but I couldn’t see anything. Hello, I wanted to say. I wanted to ask: From where are you? I wanted to ask: Is that place better? Is it tranquil? Do you feel afraid? All will be well, so don’t be, don’t be. I’ll protect you.”

The first time Lilibet and her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, interacted was when the Sussex family visited the UK in June 2022 for the Platinum Jubilee celebrations. Lilibet was named after the late Queen Elizabeth II’s family nickname.
Harry wrote about that special meeting, recalling the moment he and Meghan said goodbye to the Queen and headed home to their two young children.
“We couldn’t stop giving the kids hugs and keeping an eye on them for days on end, though I also couldn’t stop picturing them with Granny. the last trip. Archie bowing deeply and chivalrously while Lilibet, his infant sister, strokes the monarch’s shins. Children are the sweetest, granny said, sounding perplexed. Archie and Lilibet’s dedications to Prince Harry are among those mentioned in Spare’s acknowledgements. Above all, Harry expressed his gratitude to Archie, Lili, his mother-in-law (also known as Grandma), and his incredible wife for “too many millions of gifts and sacrifices, great and small, to ever enumerate.”

Archie and Lilibet aren’t frequently spotted in the media, but Harry and Meghan shared a number of never-before-seen photos and videos of their kids in their Netflix docuseries, which aired in December 2022.
The Prince revealed which side of the family his children resemble in episode six.

As home video showed Lilibet crawling across the Sussexes’ Montecito garden while wearing a floral romper, Harry remarked of his daughter, “Sort of like golden reddish hair.”
