In preparation for the publication of his first memoir, Spare, Prince Harry has conducted two significant interviews: one with ITV’s Tom Bradby and the other with CBS’ Anderson Cooper.
The most recent trailer for both chats, which were held in California, aired on Sunday. It featured Prince Harry responding to a challenging query regarding his future in the royal family.
“Can you envision a time when you would rejoin the royal family permanently?” The Duke quickly and firmly replies, “No,” when Anderson asks.
Both of Harry’s interviews will be broadcast on Sunday, two days before his book is officially released.
While not much information has been released about his 90-minute interview with ITV, which will air at 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 8, clips posted by 60 Minutes provide more context for the book.
In the interview, Harry will reportedly discuss his upbringing, the passing of his mother Princess Diana, and moving to the United States with wife Meghan Markle and son Archie.
Also criticized by Harry is Buckingham Palace for allegedly failing to stand up for him and his wife prior to their resignation as senior royals.
In a minute-long excerpt, Harry says: “Every single time I’ve attempted to do it in private, there have been leaks, briefings, and the fabrication of lies against my wife and me.
“Never complain, never explain is the family motto, but it is only a motto.
“They (Buckingham Palace) will talk to or feed a reporter, who will then write the story after receiving information literally spoon-fed to them. At the end of the story, the reporter will state that they have contacted Buckingham Palace for comment.
“The entire narrative, though, is commentary from Buckingham Palace.
Therefore, there comes a point when remaining silent is betrayal when we’ve been told for the past six years that we can’t put a statement out to protect you, but you do it for other members of the family.
