Due to her “keeping a foot in each camp,” Princess Eugenie “will be a comfort” to Prince William and Prince Harry, who are at odds.
The 32-year-old daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson made several appearances in the Netflix documentary starring Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, which was made public last week.
A few hours later, she joined her husband and other members of the royal family at Kate Middleton’s Together at Christmas carol service.
“Eugenie along with her mother has been able to have a foot in each camp,” Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl said, according to Ok! “I think unlike the palace staff who had to put their stake in one team or another, Eugenie has managed to tow that line.”
According to her, the two brothers and their cousin “learned something about the other’s lives,” and she added that this might be “something of a comfort” to the men.
Eugenie went to the Princess of Wales’s organized Christmas carol service on Thursday.
She also made several appearances in the documentary series produced by Prince Harry and Meghan.
The royal is seen partying with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in the first episode, which debuted two weeks ago, on the evening before their relationship became widely known in 2017.
Eugenie, who knew Meghan through their mutual friend Misha Nonoo, was reportedly among the first to learn of Prince Harry’s relationship with her.
Prince Harry’s press secretary, Jason Knauf, called him in October 2016 to let him know that news of his new relationship had leaked to the media.
Well, let’s go out and have fun tonight if it’s going to be released tomorrow, Megan recalled.
We attended this Halloween party together, where we could be fully dressed and nobody would notice, Harry continued. I was wearing goggles and a bandana.
When Meghan posted pictures from their night out, she noted that his cousin Eugenie and her ex-boyfriend Jack, as well as her friend Marcus, were also present. It was fantastic. Just for fun.”
The four of us snuck out in Halloween costumes to just have one fun night on the town before it was out in the open that we were a couple, Meghan revealed to Ellen DeGeneres last year when discussing the party. “He came to see me in Toronto, and our friends and his cousin Eugenie and now her husband Jack, they came as well,” she said.
Princess Eugenie makes a second appearance in the Netflix series’ climactic episode when she pays the couple a visit at their brand-new Montecito home.
The video begins with her watching the Super Bowl in California in February before cutting to her playing with Archie, age 3, on an unidentified beach.
The royal also appears in the series’ opening credits, where she can be seen riding a bike with Prince Harry.
The Duchess of York, meanwhile, has previously stated that Princess Diana, her late sister-in-law, would be “so proud” of both Prince William and Prince Harry.
I don’t miss her because she’s here with me, she said in an interview with Marie Claire. She was in my dream last night, so I know she is here.
“I’m just so proud of her, and she’d be so proud of her sons and lovely grandchildren,” the speaker continued.
