Following the Queen’s passing in September, King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla are preparing to host their first Christmas at Sandringham. But first, they will celebrate with the entire extended family at Windsor.
The King will hold his extended family’s customary annual Christmas lunch at Windsor Castle, according to The Telegraph.
The Queen hosted her family at Buckingham Palace for many years; the last get-together occurred in 2019, months before the pandemic began.
The descendants of the late Queen, as well as Princess Margaret’s children and grandchildren, the Gloucesters, and the Kents will all be among Charles’ guests.
The Prince and Princess of Wales and their three kids, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are also anticipated to attend.
After completing their first term at Lambrook last week, the kids are already having a great time during the Christmas break.
Photographers are not permitted to document this private family event, but they frequently capture pictures of the royals arriving in a car.
After Buckingham Palace announced that the King, Queen Consort, and other royal family members would spend Christmas at Sandringham for the first time in three years, news of Charles’ party broke just hours later.
Returning to customary royal celebrations, Charles and Camilla will spend Christmas Day with the royal family at the late Queen’s former Norfolk Estate.
The gathering at Sandringham will mark the first Christmas at the exclusive royal residence for the royal family since 2019.
In a succinct statement, Buckingham Palace stated: “Their Majesties The King and The Queen Consort accompanied by Members of the Royal Family will attend the Morning Service on Christmas Day at Sandringham Church, on Sunday 25th December 2022.”
For the first time since their wedding, Camilla’s children and grandchildren are reportedly expected to join them, as well as members of Charles’ family.
