Lilibet “Lili” Markle, the daughter of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, was given the name in honor of the late Queen Elizabeth II.
HELLO! can exclusively reveal that Harry and Meghan chose their daughter’s name long before she was born. The couple announced their daughter’s arrival and name shortly after her birth on June 4, 2021.
The couple gave viewers rare glimpses of their daughter in the most recent episodes of their frank Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan, including a precious image of her dozing off in her crib while donning a custom babygrow with the words “petite lili” stitched across the front.
The order for Lili’s hand-embroidered baby onesies, which Sabrina Brian created and sells through her Etsy shop, was placed one month prior to Lili’s birth, Sabrina Brian revealed to HELLO!
She stated, “The order was placed in May 2021.
Nothing unusual about the order stands out in my memory, other than the fact that I thought the embroidery was adorable and that I was happy with the way it turned out.
After the episodes aired, Sabrina claimed that she didn’t know the order was for Harry and Meghan until her sister texted her.
“She clarified that it read “petite lili.” I looked through my previous orders because it immediately sounded like a name I had embroidered before, and sure enough, I had made it!” the homemaker’s mother explained.
