Thursday night, Princess Catherine dazzled as she hosted her annual Christmas concert. As she spoke with the glittering roster of guests, she shared an open confession regarding the Wales children.
The wife of Prince William, 40, revealed that despite her stellar musical resume, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis aren’t fans of their mother’s singing in a conversation with musical theater star Alfie Boe!
On the piano, you can slightly conceal yourself more than you can when singing, Catherine admitted.
“Actually my children probably wouldn’t forgive me – I’m not sure whether they think I’ve got a particularly good singing voice. I’ll have to have some lessons.”
Catherine stunned TV viewers at the concert last year by performing a special piano duet with singer Tom Walker during the carol service.
The star sang his moving hit For ‘Those Who Can’t Be Here’ as Catherine, who has played the piano since she was a young girl, sat at a grand piano in the candlelit Chapter House of Westminster Abbey.
The concert was particularly meaningful this year because it was honoring Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the virtues she exemplified throughout her life, including duty, empathy, faith, service, kindness, and support for others.
The inspiring visitors who were welcomed to the Abbey in appreciation of their selfless efforts to assist and care for those around them shared and exemplified these values.
The service was embellished with a variety of lovely Christmas trees as part of another heartfelt dedication to the Queen. The ones placed inside had red bows and several miniature Paddington bear ornaments, while those placed outside had fake snow and warm lights.
Fans of the royal family were delighted to learn that Prince George and Princess Charlotte went to the service with their parents.
