Princess Charlotte’s mysterious gesture at Catherine’s carol concert spotted by eagle-eyed royal fans

Eagle-eyed royal fans have spotted Princess Charlotte crossing her fingers as she walked through Westminster Abbey.

At Princess of Wales’ annual Together At Christmas carol service, Princess Charlotte was seen making an enigmatic hand motion.

When the young royal and her family arrived at Westminster Abbey yesterday for the customary Christmas carol service, she seemed anxious.

As her husband, Prince William, and two of their children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, arrived at the joyous service, Catherine could be seen walking up to a car to welcome them.

Charlotte held her father’s hand tightly as they proceeded to walk toward the abbey.

The young Princess was then observed crossing her fingers as she and her family entered the abbey.

It’s unclear why she did this, but supporters of the Royal Family were quick to notice and discuss it on Twitter.

Someone remarked: “I’d love to know what Princess Charlotte was thinking right now, with her adorable smile and crossed fingers.”

Another said: “Princess Charlotte is so cute as she crosses her fingers. Perhaps a flashback to a memorable occasion.”

A third added: “Has anyone noticed Charlotte’s finger-crossing? I hope she gets what she wants.”

The Princesses’ tense moment coincides with a stressful time for her family.

Just hours after the final three episodes of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s shocking Netflix documentary series debuted on the streaming service, Royal Fans noted that “William looked elsewhere” and “checked out” during the special event.

Fans said that William looked ‘elsewhere’                                                                                                                                                  Image: Getty Images

The Wales family was the subject of some shocking revelations in the second installment of the series, and Harry accused the Royal Family of lying to protect Prince William while refusing to defend them.

Harry described the deteriorating relationship with his brother as being “terrified” of William after the latter tried to “bully them out” and allegedly yelled and screamed at him during a meeting at Sandringham.

In response to the allegations made in the series, the Prince and Princess of Wales appear to have adopted the Royal Family’s policy of “never complain, never explain.”

During the carol service, which will be broadcast later this month, they carried on as usual.

Prince George matched his father by donning a dark coat and pants, while Princess Charlotte and Catherine wore matching burgundy coats.

Besides King Charles and the Queen Consort, other royals such as Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice also attended the service with the family.

Pippa Middleton also showed her support as she attended the event in a dark red coat, matching her sister and niece.
