The final episode of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix documentary was released on Thursday, and one of the most moving scenes was when Harry discussed the passing of his grandfather.
The Prince explained that he received a text from Prince William, who informed him of the news. Harry and Meghan then researched the flying restrictions related to the pandemic so the prince could travel to England the following day. Harry also talked openly about the conflict he, his brother, and his father, King Charles, were involved in.
It was difficult, he admitted, especially talking with his father and brother, who both had the same inaccurate perception of the circumstances.
So, although none of us really wanted to, we did, at my grandfather’s funeral.
I’ve had to come to terms with the possibility that I’ll never experience true accountability or an actual apology.
“My wife and I, you know, we’re moving on. We are concentrating on what will happen next.
Despite the conflicting emotions, the royal family maintained its unity as Prince William and Princess Kate walked alongside Harry as they returned to Windsor Castle and during the procession of the coffin.
Over a year after Harry and Meghan made the decision to leave the royal family, Philip passed away.
Prior to the revelation, Harry gushed about his grandfather in the documentary and described his beloved grandfather’s preference for riding in black taxis. The screen then flashed the touching scene in which the Mall was lined with black taxis as a touching tribute to Prince Philip.
Harry remarked, “That’s nice.”
The series’ final three episodes concentrated more on the couple’s decision to resign from the royal family as well as a number of previously unseen family moments at their LA home.
