Meghan Markle kisses Prince Charles in sweet behind-the-scenes wedding moment

On Thursday, the second installment of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s Netflix docuseries was released, and the first of the three brand-new episodes featured an emotional appearance from King Charles.

Black-and-white wedding photographs from the time show the then-Prince Charles tenderly kissing his new daughter-in-law on the cheek.

The Duchess and the King were photographed during the special moment while they were surrounded by friends, family, and the priest.

The image was presented in the episode shortly after Meghan gave the reason she had chosen her father-in-law to accompany her on her special day.

She remarked: “Harry’s dad is very endearing, and I said to him: ‘I’ve lost my dad in this, so him as my father-in-law was really important to me.'” She continued, “He is very charming.” He agreed when I asked him to lead me down the aisle.

One of many unreleased pictures from the couple’s wedding, the adorable picture showed Prince Harry kissing Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland on the cheek.

The couple cut their wedding cake with a sword at St. George’s Chapel in another amazing moment captured in the film before recalling their first dance, which was to Land of 1000 Dances. Images of the couple spinning on the dance floor flashed up on the screen as the song played.

In another touching image from their wedding, the late Queen Elizabeth was seen walking into the church with her son Charles.

Meghan thought back on her first engagement with Her Majesty earlier in the episode. Meghan said, “I treated her like the grandmother of my husband.” And knowing that there must naturally be a very different sense of propriety in public when you’re sitting and having breakfast in order to just be able to talk.

I remember thinking, “I recognize and respect and see that you’re the Queen, but in this moment I’m so grateful that there is a grandmother figure because that feels like family,” as we sat in the car between engagements with the blanket covering my knees.

In addition, Meghan added that she had cared for her grandmother “in her final years,” “and because I was so so close with my grandmother.”

The Duchess of Sussex continued, “It was such a good day, we laughed,” regarding her engagement to the Queen.
