Episode Four

Harry and Meghan share unseen details and photos from the royal wedding

Meghan, the royal bride, described how she felt in a “calm space” on the morning of her wedding and revealed what she ate and drank: a croissant and a mimosa!

From Meghan’s arrival at St. George’s Chapel to their formal reception, where the newlyweds cut their cake with a sword, the couple also shared a number of fascinating behind-the-scenes pictures from their wedding day.

Then, as pictures of the couple twirling on the dance floor flashed up on the screen, Harry and Meghan revealed that their first dance was to Land of 1000 Dances.

At Frogmore House in Windsor, where the couple’s evening reception was held, the night came to a spectacular conclusion with fireworks.

Meghan talks about her first official engagement with the Queen

In 2018, the Duchess participated in her first engagement with the Queen soon after getting married.

As my husband’s grandmother, Meghan said: “I treated her as such, and I knew that obviously there has to be a completely different sense of propriety in public, when you’re sitting and having breakfast to just be able to talk.

“As we sat in the car between engagements with this blanket covering my knees, I thought, ‘I recognize and respect that you are the Queen, but in this moment I’m so grateful that there is a grandmother figure because that feels like family.'”

In addition, Meghan added that she had cared for her grandmother “in her final years,” “and because I was so so close with my grandmother.”

The Duchess of Sussex continued, “It was such a good day, we laughed,” regarding her engagement to the Queen.

Doria Ragland reveals heartbreak over Meghan’s suicidal thoughts

It “really broke my heart” when she told me she wanted to commit suicide, recalled Doria. “I knew it was bad, but it’s not easy for a mother to hear that she would actually consider leaving because these vultures are just picking away at her spirit,” the mother said.

Doria continued, feeling hurt that neither she nor Harry could defend Meghan.

Prince Harry chimed in, saying he was “devastated” by how his wife was feeling.

“I knew she was having trouble, but I never imagined it would reach that point. I felt humiliated and irate.

As institutional Harry, not husband Harry, I handled it. My royal role stepped in. I’d been conditioned to be more socially anxious. Now that I look back on it, I despise myself.

She required so much more of me than I was able to provide.

Episode Five

Harry talks fallout with Prince William

Harry acknowledged that having his brother Prince William “scream and shout” at him during their discussion about Harry and Meghan leaving the royal family was “terrifying.”

He said: “It was terrifying to have my brother scream and shout at me, and my father say things that were just plain untrue… and my grandmother sit there and quietly take it all in.” This was said in episode five of the docuseries.

The most tragic aspect of it, according to my brother, was the chasm that was driven between us so that he would be on the institution side and I would inherit some of his inheritance. So, to some extent, he already understands that maintaining the viability and future of this institution is part of his duty.

Later, he discussed a joint statement that was issued to dispel claims that William was “bullying” Harry and Meghan out of the royal family, but he denied being a part of it. “I couldn’t believe it; no one had requested my consent to sign such a statement. When I called M and told her what had happened, she sobbed uncontrollably. She said that although they had been willing to lie for my brother for 24 hours, they had never been so willing to tell the truth for us.

The royal family had kept quiet about any accusations before the release of the most recent episode. And they keep doing it. Both Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace declined to respond when asked for comment.

Meghan’s comments on her fallout with dad Thomas

Prior to her marriage into the royal family, Meghan admitted that she and Thomas had a close relationship. She blamed the media for their breakup. She disclosed that after she asked the Queen and Prince Charles for advice, they advised the Duchess to write her father a letter, which was ultimately leaked to the press. She said, “It was very embarrassing for the family.” They wanted me to put an end to the issue because it needed to be resolved.

Harry and Meghan reveal what began their exit from royal family

The couple admitted that the breakdown of their relationship with the royal family began with their choice to sue newspapers for publishing a letter Meghan wrote to Thomas. “After that, everything changed,” said Meghan. The beginning of everything falling apart was probably spurred on by that legal dispute.

Prince Harry was stopped from seeing the Queen

When Harry and Meghan returned from a brief trip to Vancouver, the Queen invited them to visit her and spend the night there. However, the Queen was informed by staff on their flight home that they were not at all permitted to visit her. I called her and said, “I’m told you’re busy,” Harry said. I thought, “Wow,” when she replied, “Yes, I didn’t know that I was busy; I am told that I am busy all week.

Prince Harry denied that he ‘blindsided’ the Queen with exit

Speaking candidly at the time, Harry addressed the claims that he hadn’t told his family about his intention to emigrate, claiming: “This idea that I supposedly blindsided my grandmother. I have a great deal of respect for her, so that would never happen.

Archie chats to Meghan – and has an adorable accent!

Video taken at home showed Meghan reading The Gruffalo to young Archie, who responded to his mother by saying, “A Gruffalo!” in a sweet American accent. Another scene shows Archie playing with toy drums while asking Meghan if the song was good. Would you like me to re-play it, mama? Meghan answered, “Yes, please. Thank you.”

Before their last week in the UK, Meghan admitted that she would only wear neutral colors so as to avoid “upsetting or ruffling any feathers.” I wore a lot of color that week, she continued. I simply thought, “Let’s look like a rainbow!”

On their ‘cold’ reunion with royal family

Harry said it appeared and felt “cold” when he and Meghan first saw members of the royal family after they announced their decision to step back at Westminster Abbey for the Commonwealth Service. “I felt really disconnected from the rest of my family, which is interesting because so much of how they behave is based on how it appears and not how it actually feels,” he said. But it felt cold and appeared cold.

Episode Six

Meghan opens up about her devastating miscarriage

Meghan talks about having a miscarriage in 2020 in episode six, noting that it happened the day after they had moved into their new Montecito home.

Abigail Spencer, an actress who is close to the Duchess of Sussex, introduced the tragic event to the audience. When she arrived at Meghan’s house, she said, “I knew something was off because Meghan was waiting there for me,” adding, “She’s showing me their new home but she says ‘I’m having a lot of pain. She collapsed to the ground while still holding Archie.

Following that, Meghan is heard saying, “I was pregnant, I really wasn’t sleeping, and the first morning we woke up in our new home is when I miscarried.”

Harry, who was clearly upset, continued, “I think what the Mail did caused my wife to have a miscarriage. I kept an eye on everything. Do we really know that’s what caused the miscarriage, though? Naturally, we don’t.

But Harry continued, “I can say from what I saw that miscarriage was created by what they were trying to do to her given the stress that was caused, lack of sleep, the timing of the pregnancy, and how many weeks she was.”

“When I reveal things that are moments of vulnerability when it comes to having a miscarriage and maybe having felt ashamed,” Meghan, who broke the news to the world in a New York Times article titled The Losses We Share, continued, “it’s like, ‘It’s OK, you’re human.

‘With all the bad that comes with this, the good is being able to help other people,’ I could choose to say, or I could choose to never talk about those things.

Harry talks ‘Institutional gas lighting’ ahead of their Oprah Winfrey interview

The royal couple talked about their illuminating televised interview with Oprah Winfrey later in the episode. The Duchess of Sussex refuted claims that Buckingham Palace staff had bullied people before the interview was broadcast.

The former spokesperson for the couple, James Holt, stated: “Journalists who wrote the bullying story have even acknowledged that it was done specifically because of the Oprah interview.”

Harry goes on to discuss this in more detail, focusing on what he called “institutional gas lighting.” The Duke remarks, “I can’t think what my mum went through all those years ago by herself,” in response to a news report about the tensions between the royal couple and “men in grey suits.”

The extraordinary institutional gaslighting that is taking place is the reason everything that has happened to us has always been going to happen. Because that is how they react when you speak the truth to authority.

Meghan was a ‘crying wreck’ on the phone with Tyler Perry

Harry and Meghan decided to relocate to California after realizing that everyone knew where they were staying and that they lacked security. They did this by getting in touch with actor and director Tyler Perry.

I was just a wreck, I was just crying and crying,” Meghan is heard saying. When you know nothing at all, it can be simpler to open up to them. That was the case when Tyler and I first met.

Tyler continued, “I heard the fear. It was obvious. In other words, I heard it. I then asked her what she was afraid of and assured her that all of her worries were legitimate.

Harry recalled: “We were at Tyler’s for six weeks and no one knew. Then the couple moved into Tyler’s house in California. My relatives continued to believe I was in Canada.

Meghan and Harry’s legal battle took unexpected turns

The couple talks about their legal battle with Associated Newspapers throughout episode six. Due to the publication of a letter she had written to her father, Harry and Meghan filed a lawsuit against the company that published the Daily Mail, Mail Online, and Mail on Sunday.

In one revelation, Jenny Afia, the couple’s attorney, who frequently makes appearances in the episode, asserts that Jason Knauf, a senior member of Prince William’s staff, had provided a voluntary witness statement against Meghan with William’s approval.

Unfortunately, he could not have accomplished that without the support of his superiors, according to Jenny. Another scene showed Harry and Meghan talking about the revelation in their kitchen as Meghan tells her husband, “I’m not going to say anything about your brother but it’s so obvious. It’s your brother.”

Because the communications teams compete with one another, Harry continues, “It’s even more obvious that they’ll cover it up. This is why I’m now living in another country.” A statement from Jason Knauf at the episode’s conclusion refuted the assertions made in the documentary.

Harry talks about tension in the family and returning to the UK

Prince Harry talks about the time he had to fly back to the UK to attend Prince Philip’s funeral after talking about the passing of his grandfather, the Duke of Edinburgh. For the first time since he and Meghan left the royal family, he acknowledged that it was “hard” to return. He also said that it was difficult to speak with his father and brother because they “were very much focused on the same misinterpretation of the whole situation.”

Harry continued, “At my grandfather’s funeral, none of us wanted to talk about it, but we did.” “I’ve had to come to terms with the fact that we’re probably never going to get real accountability or real remorse,” Harry continued. My wife and I were moving in, and we were considering the future.

Harry acknowledged that it was difficult, but he also expressed what he missed most about the UK: “I miss the family get-togethers at certain times of the year, my friends… I’ve now lost some friends.

Harry and Meghan share close bond with Princess Eugenie

Princess Eugenie, Harry’s cousin, makes an appearance near the episode’s conclusion. The Duke announces to the camera, “Look who’s in town!” before panning to Eugenie waving as the royal is seen in the car with Harry.

The family members then admit they went to the Super Bowl before spending time with Archie on bicycle rides and beach days. Eugenie and the toddler ran into the waves in a cute moment.

The moving film concludes with a stunning montage of the couple’s family life in Montecito, featuring numerous images of the couple and their children as well as video footage. A song also plays over the top.

There have been times when Harry has been angry, but he adds, “I can’t be that angry because I truly believe that I and we are exactly where we should be. We have reached the other side.

It’s amazing how things come full circle that you never think about, Meghan continues. Before going into detail, she talked about their love story and how “love wins” in the speech she gave the night of their wedding.

Jenny Afia made claims against the palace in a teaser clip

Harry stated in the teaser from Monday that they “were happy to lie to protect my brother.” They were never prepared to come clean in order to keep us safe.

Although it’s unclear to whom the Duke was referring, differences between Netflix’s social media and website uploads lead some to believe he may have been referring to the British media.

In a second trailer, released on Wednesday, Jenny Afia, a partner at the Schillings Law Firm, asserted that there was a “war against Meghan.”

Her statement was followed by the statement that she had “seen evidence of negative briefing from the Palace against Harry and Meghan to suit other people’s agendas.”

You would just see it play out, like a story about a member of the family would surface for a moment and they would say, “We’ve got to make that go away,” as Meghan herself was heard saying.

As she spoke, a clip of newspaper front pages with the headlines “Meghan Made Kate Cry” and “Heir Heads” about the Sussexes’ use of private planes and Kate and Meghan’s disagreement over flower girl dresses played.

The explosive trailers have split social media users who follow the royal family.

Just hours before the royal family is expected to show up in force for the Princess of Wales’ Christmas Carol Concert at Westminster, the final three episodes air.

Both Kensington Palace and Buckingham Palace have so far declined to comment.

The first three episodes of the documentary series were devoted to the early romance of Harry and Meghan, their engagement, and their interactions with the media.

The couple has shared never-before-seen pictures and videos of their life together, including their first date, Harry’s 2017 marriage proposal, and their home in Montecito with their kids, Archie, 3, and Lilibet, 1 year old.

With 81.55 million hours viewed in its first week, The Sussexes’ six-part show, which is a component of their multimillion-pound deal with Netflix, has surpassed all other documentaries on the service.

The couple’s contract with Netflix was signed in 2020; its exact value is unknown, but it is thought to be in the neighborhood of $100 million.

On January 10, 2023, Prince Harry’s eagerly anticipated and “intimate” memoir Spare will also be released. It will give a first-person account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have shaped Prince Harry.

The first three episodes of Harry & Meghan had the highest debut for a documentary on Netflix, according to royal reporter Omid Scobie, who tweeted: According to a rep, it had the highest debut of any documentary in a premiere week with 81.55M hours watched by over 28 million households (in four days). It is currently the second-best English TV series worldwide.
