The couple showed off their humour

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s engagement interview when they thought cameras were off

Since it aired in 2017, over three million people have tuned in to watch Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement interview, but the majority won’t have seen the outtakes. For this reason, we’ve discovered the uncovered clips.
In November 2017, after Harry had surprised Meghan with a low-key garden proposal at their Kensington Palace residence, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their engagement. They later chatted about weddings with BBC’s Mishal Husain while she displayed her new trilogy engagement ring, which features Botswana diamonds and a piece of jewelry from Princess Diana’s collection.

However, there were a few instances when the mics were off and the royals believed that there were no cameras present. Fans got a candid look at their silly relationship during those times, when they were not being photographed and the couple was feeding off of each other’s inside jokes.

In their new Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, the son of King Charles and the former Suits actress have been disclosing new information about their love story. The proposal, which the couple had previously claimed occurred while they were cooking roast on a healthy Sunday afternoon, was one of their confessions.

Harry began by saying, “I wanted to do it earlier. I wanted to tell you everything about the private moment at Nottingham Cottage. I couldn’t do it outside of the UK because I had to get my grandmother’s approval. She was roasting a chicken when I opened a bottle of champagne, and that kind of gave the game away just a little bit.

She remarked, “You never drink champagne, what’s the occasion?'” “I don’t know, I just had it like, lying around, whatever,” I replied. Meghan chuckled in response to Harry’s joke, “It was a magnum!”

He then placed white flowers and electric candles around a covert picnic blanket outside. While he was setting up the proposal location, he cautioned Meghan “not to peek,” but a video showed the former Suits actress giddily whispering to her friend on the phone: “Oh my God, Jess. It’s happening!”

“I found 15 of those electric candles in the tiny walled garden that was under the staff apartments’ observation” – Harry said. The royal was pictured down on one knee, Guy, Meghan’s pet dog, in one hand and a ring box in the other.
