Meghan Markle releases heartfelt message ahead of explosive new docuseries

The docuseries Harry & Meghan, starring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, premieres on Netflix on Thursday. The Duchess of Sussex shared a message in advance of the premiere.

She took to the Archewell website to thank her fans for supporting her work on Tuesday night after her Archetypes podcast won a People’s Choice award. The mother of two wrote in the sincere letter: “The 2022 People’s Choice Awards ceremony took place last night in Los Angeles, California, and honored fan favorites in television, music, podcasts, and other media. We are excited to announce that Archetypes won the best podcast award in its first season thanks to votes from people all over the world!”

She went on: “We are grateful to all of Archetypes’ backers and admirers who cast their votes for us in this unique People’s Choice Award. I enjoyed getting my hands dirty and staying up late in bed to work on the writing and creative.

And I enjoyed having deep, meaningful conversations with my interesting and diverse guests while you all listened, laughing and learning together.

She expressed her gratitude to all involved in the production of her podcast by saying: “It has been such a labor of love with a fantastic team that has all contributed to making this series a reality.

“Special thanks to Catherine, Rebecca, Andy, Matt, and the rest of the team who all worked hard to make each moment resonate, as well as Terry Wood who served as my right hand on this unique project. Above all, I want to express my gratitude to every voter. Your help is greatly appreciated.”

The message was sent ahead of the debut of her docuseries, which follows her and Harry as they leave the royal family. The first trailer, which debuted on December 1, generated quite a stir. The Duke said: “Nobody is privy to what goes on behind closed doors. I had to take every precaution I could to keep my family safe.”

The shocking documentary, which includes never-before-seen photos and video from their private lives, tells the story of their well-known romance and the difficulties that ultimately led them to decide to step down from their positions as senior royals.

Harry claimed in a second trailer that the palace was “planting stories,” and Meghan insisted that the royal family failed to defend her.

The Sussexes signed a contract with Netflix in 2020; its exact value is unknown, but it is thought to be in the neighborhood of $100 million.

The docuseries’ first three episodes premiered on December 8; the remaining three are scheduled to air on December 15—the same day the Princess of Wales will perform her annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey. Prince William, the King and Queen Consort, and other members of the royal family will attend the festive event with Kate.

On January 10, 2023, Prince Harry’s eagerly anticipated and “intimate” memoir Spare will also be released. It will give a first-person account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have shaped Prince Harry.
