Prior to the release of their eagerly anticipated docuseries on Netflix on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have had a very busy few days.
The trailer has royal watchers around the world riveted because it alluded to shocking revelations. The couple received the Ripple of Hope Award in front of a packed house on Tuesday, and afterward, Harry was questioned about his thoughts on “destroying the Royal Family.”

The tense situation was caught on camera and quickly became popular on social media. A bystander approached the couple as they were seen making their way inside.
Harry moved over to Meghan’s side of the vehicle and extended an umbrella for her in response to the question, “What do you think about destroying the Royal Family?”
Then, a different member of the audience yelled at the former actress, “Meghan, you destroyed the Royal Family.”

The couple, however, was surrounded by well-wishers and photographers. Before the awards ceremony started, they quickly entered together.
In recognition of their “heroic” stand against racism within the royal family, the Sussexes were given the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award.
“But ultimately, if you feel like there’s someone else that has lived experience, they’ve gotten to the other side, and gave example of resilience, an example of ‘there is a happy ending,’ I think that’s what most people are probably seeking out in those moments,” Meghan said after accepting their award.

And for that reason, I chose to simply state, “If my experience can help someone else not feel the same way or know that there is hope, then it is worth every second of whatever comes with it.”
