Prior to the much-anticipated Netflix series’ premiere on December 8th, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made their first public appearance on Tuesday by walking the red carpet at the Ripple of Hope Awards in New York. Alec Baldwin and other guests are anticipated to attend.
At King Charles’ first diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace in London, the Prince and Princess of Wales dazzled as the British royal family turned out in force.

The Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights Award will be given to Meghan and Harry in recognition of their “heroic” stand against racism within the royal family. The foundation bears the name of the younger brother of former president John F. Kennedy, who was killed in 1968 while running for office.
Kerry Kennedy, president of Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights, commented on Harry and Meghan’s award by saying that they went to the oldest institution in British history and told them what they were doing incorrectly, that they couldn’t have structural racism within the institution, and that they couldn’t continue to maintain a misunderstanding about mental health.

She went on: “They were aware that if they did this, there would be repercussions, that they would be shunned, that they would lose their family, that they would be demoted, and that others would hold them responsible.
They did it regardless because they thought they wouldn’t be able to live with themselves if they didn’t challenge this authority.
Harry and Meghan join a long list of prominent leaders who have received the honor, including Joe Biden, the current vice president, Kamala Harris, and former US presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
The Sussexes were spotted landing in New York City on Monday, and pictures obtained by Page Six show the couple exiting their private aircraft and walking toward a car.

Harry was pictured wearing a jacket, suit pants, and an unbuttoned white shirt. While everyone else was dressed in all-black, Meghan chose a long-sleeved, fitted dress, oversized dark sunglasses, and a bun for her hair.
Their newest documentary, dubbed “unprecedented and in-depth,” will premiere on Thursday, December 8.

The summary says: “The Duchess of Sussex and the Duke of Sussex discuss the other side of their well-known romance. The six-part series delves into their early covert courtship and the struggles that ultimately forced them to relinquish their full-time jobs at the institution.

The series “does more than illuminate one couple’s love story; it paints a picture of our world and how we treat each other with commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press.”
