The Princess of Wales would have experienced “pain” when she married the Duke of Sussex’s brother, Prince William, back in April 2011.
An explosive new trailer for Netflix’s upcoming behind-the-scenes docuseries, which premieres on December 8th, was released on Monday. Harry narrates in a one-minute teaser clip: “It’s really hard to look back on it now and go: ‘What on earth happened?’ There’s a hierarchy of the family, you know, there’s leaking, but there’s also planting of stories. It’s a dirty game.”

Considering the women who married into the “institution”, Prince Harry continued: “The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy. I was terrified, I didn’t want history to repeat itself. No one knows the full truth. We know the full truth.”
Videos of Harry’s late mother, Princess Diana, and sister-in-law Catherine being pursued by paparazzi were shown as he talked about his suffering.
Volume I will be released on Thursday, and Volume II will air on December 15. Netflix has billed this as a global event. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will recount their side of their well-known love story, according to the official synopsis.

The show “examines the secretive stages of their early courtship and the struggles that forced them to feel compelled to step back from their full-time roles in the institution.”
The in-depth documentary will feature interviews with Harry and Meghan as well as their friends and family, some of whom have never spoken publicly before.

According to the summary, “the series does more than illuminate one couple’s love story; it paints a picture of our world and how we treat one another with commentary from friends and family, most of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press.”
