Following their three-day trip to the US, the Prince and Princess of Wales wasted no time in making their way back to the UK, where they met up with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, on Saturday.
Following their arrival at Heathrow airport, the Sunday Times reports that Prince William and Princess Catherine immediately began their parenting responsibilities by attending a Christmas fundraiser fair held by their children’s school, Lambrook, in Windsor on Saturday morning.
During their trip away, George, Charlotte, and Louis no doubt missed their parents, but fortunately the independent preparatory school, which costs £20,997 a year, had plenty to keep them busy.
Princess Charlotte, who is in Year 3, spent the week learning about a healthy, balanced diet as well as making and tasting bread, a skill she enjoys practicing at home with the Princess of Wales, according to Lambrook School’s Instagram page.
The Princess was baking cakes in their kitchen earlier this year, with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis lending a helping hand, as Catherine and William shared an incredibly rare look inside their home.
Lambrook wrote a lovely post that said: “Our Year 3 students had a special end-of-topic bread making and tasting experience this morning after learning about various food groups and healthy eating. As part of their history unit on rationing, our Year 4 students will also learn how to make the National Loaf tomorrow.”
The school’s upper years also gave the royal kids a performance of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, giving them a preview of what’s to come should they choose to pursue the arts in their later years at the prep school.
What a phantasmagorical time in our theater last night as our high flying Upper School production of “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang” brought the house down – on to the next performance this evening!” read a second Instagram post.
The family’s nanny, Maria Teresa Turrion, who has worked with the three Wales children since 2014, took care of them while their parents were away.
