The Prince and Princess of Wales are now firmly established in their new home at Adelaide Cottage in Windsor, but despite having lived there since early September, there are some royal neighbors that they haven’t even crossed paths with yet.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s home in the UK is also relatively close, but they haven’t been in England since the late Queen’s funeral. Prince William and Princess Catherine’s new residence is within the King’s Windsor estate, and in addition to being close to His Majesty’s castle, it also has His Majesty’s castle nearby.
Archie Harrison and Lilibet Diana Sussex live with their parents in the US, but they continue to maintain a home in the UK, Frogmore Cottage, for their transatlantic travels.
Prior to the royals moving in, the property, which previously consisted of five separate homes for estate workers, was transformed into a single five-bedroom house in 2019.
The royals allowed fans brief peeks inside the cottage while they were staying there, and Princess Eugenie also did so when she spent some time there.
Although no pictures of Adelaide Cottage’s interiors exist, we can speculate about what it might look like based on some information we do know about the regal home’s decor.
The master bedroom is said to be very distinctively designed in the four-bedroom house.
The Sun claims that it has golden dolphins and ceiling rope decorations that were salvaged from a 19th-century royal yacht, giving it a unique nautical theme.
It was constructed in 1831 as a retreat for Queen Adelaide of Saxe-Meiningen, the wife of William IV, and was once a favorite breakfast location for Queen Victoria.
In comparison to the family’s other two residences, Kensington Palace and Anmer Hall, the historic home is considerably smaller. A real plus is that it’s close to the Princess’s parents, Carole and Michael Middleton.
