The Festival of Remembrance, an event honoring servicemen and women who have served and lost their lives from Britain and Commonwealth countries, was a somber occasion for the royals on Saturday night.
One of the senior royals present was Prince William, who looked extremely dapper in a black suit, along with his military decorations and a poppy. The red and black tie he wore, which the Prince of Wales has previously worn, was a standout feature of his outfit.

The father of three actually dons the same tie every year for the touching ceremony because it is the Household Division’s regimental tie.
William served in their Blues & Royals regiment during his military career, so the item is a heartfelt ode.
At the emotional occasion, the Prince and Princess of Wales presented a unified front. The three poppies that Princess Kate always wears on the lapel of her jacket are thought to honor her relatives who have served and died in wars.

The three brothers of Princess Catherine’s great-grandmother perished in action during the First World War, but the palace has never officially stated why the mother-of-three chose to wear so many poppies.
The Royal British Legion’s patron and longest-serving Commander-in-Chief of the British Armed Forces, the Queen, passed away this year, making this year’s event particularly significant for the royal family.

For the first time since 2006, every working royal attended the Festival that evening. The majority of the royals were present the previous year, with the exception of the Queen, who was compelled to cancel her appearance due to medical advice, and Prince Andrew, who had stepped back from all public duties.
