In January, the Princess of Wales will turn 41, and it’s safe to assume that Prince William has some special plans in store for his wife of more than ten years.
But even the royal father of three has acknowledged that, in the past, he hasn’t always made the best gift purchases.
In support of the Heads Up initiative, William, 40, made an appearance on a special episode of Peter Crouch’s podcast in 2020.

“I did get my wife a pair of binoculars once,” Prince William said after the former England forward admitted to buying his wife Abbey Clancy a raincoat three years in a row.
With Peter laughing, William continued, “It didn’t go well. That was early in the courtship, that was, and I think that sealed the deal. I honestly don’t know why I bought her a pair of binoculars, but at the time it seemed like a good idea.
William and Catherine first met in 2001 while they were both students at the University of St Andrews. They celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary in April 2021.

Catherine reportedly enjoyed a tea party in 2021 while staying at William and Catherine’s Norfolk home, Anmer Hall, with their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
Princess Catherine, in contrast to her husband Prince William, appears to have mastered the art of choosing unusual gifts. Catherine made a batch of homemade chutney using her grandmother’s secret recipe for her first ever Christmas at Sandringham with the Queen.
In an ITV documentary for the Queen’s 90th birthday, which was also her first solo television interview, Catherine previously recalled the touching moment.
She said, “She (the Queen) really cares.” “I recall spending Christmas at Sandringham for the first time. And I was concerned about what to get the Queen for Christmas. What on earth should I give her, I wondered.

I considered the gifts I would give to my own grandparents. I decided that I would make her something. which might have disastrously gone wrong. But I made the chutney per my grandmother’s recipe.
“I was a little concerned about it, but the next day I saw that it was on the table,” she continued.
