With their two children Archie and Lilibet, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reside in the US, but they also have a home in Windsor, England, that they rent from King Charles III.
While they were living in the United States, the Duke of Sussex gave his cousin Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank permission to live there. However, recently, Prince Andrew’s daughter moved out, making the house available for Harry and Meghan to occupy whenever they choose.
Prior to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moving in, the house, which had previously been divided into five individual homes for estate workers, was transformed into a single five-bedroom residence in 2019. Look around the lovely house where the family resides.
A friend previously told HELLO! that Eugenie and Harry “have always been close and they chat privately all the time.” “Because Frogmore Cottage is much larger than their cottage at Kensington Palace, Harry suggested she and Jack use it. In this instance, one family member is trying to help another.”
Princess Eugenie provided fans with glimpses inside the home while she was residing there as she shared updates on her son. It is evident that she made some personal additions to the interiors.
For instance, Eugenie was shown in the living room relaxing on a cream sofa in front of a blue bookshelf. One small green cushion with the individualized message: “August born in February” stood out among the intricate blue and white patterns and red fluffy trimmed designs that surrounded her.
In a different picture, Jack was seen holding their infant in a neutral space with a comfortable white linen sofa, boho cream and black scatter cushions, and paneled walls in a restrained beige color.
While filming her first-born playing with a toy shark, the royal also gave the world a glimpse of her stunning kitchen. The four-month-old was photographed holding his stuffed animal while seated in a bouncer, with light beige tiles in a diamond pattern and slightly darker-toned wooden cabinets visible in the background.
The residence was previously occupied by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in April 2019, just before the birth of their son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. After deciding to leave their royal duties and relocate to North America in 2020, they kept the house as their base there. From what little we know about the interior, it appears that much of the design was altered to suit baby Archie, making it the perfect home for Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s child.
The Grade II-listed Frogmore House, where the royal couple held their wedding reception in May 2018, and an amazing lake are both in front of it. Five bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a former nursery for Archie are said to be located inside.
The Sovereign Grant reported spending £2.4 million renovating the house in 2019, and the couple later paid back the money.
Before Meghan and Harry moved in, the house underwent extensive renovations, and it was rumored that Meghan hired Vicky Charles, an interior designer with Soho House, to decorate the house. In keeping with her largely vegan diet, Meghan reportedly requested that they use vegan and organic paint rather than chemical-based products to keep her son Archie healthy.
In the garden, Meghan is likely to have a number of the lemon-yellow Chrysanthemums that bear Archie’s name. As part of a custom that mandates that royal family members receive a namesake variety of the flower, Archie was given the honorary flower in remembrance of the blossoms that adorned Westminster Abbey on the day that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip were wed in 1947.
They also have a statue of a dog in the garden as a special tribute to one of their family members.
Meghan may have noticed Vicky’s distinctive sense of style and what she observed at the Soho House clubs in Frogmore Cottage. The clubs’ decor draws inspiration from the 1920s and 1930s, and they feature opulent furnishings like velvet sofas and chandeliers—of course, Meghan and Harry will have added their own touches.
Prior to now, Vicky said to Soho House, “Private residences are very different. The Soho House aesthetic is what attracts clients to us, but you have to customize it for the family or whoever lives there in their space; it’s not something you can pick up off the shelf.”
Both Harry and Meghan are avid art collectors. During their courtship, Harry gave Meghan a romantic canvas by British artist Van Donna that read, “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love.” Additionally, it’s thought that the Queen gave Eugenie and Jack a collection of paintings from her own personal collection, which they can now admire.
