A beautiful new image of King Charles III has been made public; it features him with his wife, the Queen Consort, as well as his heir, Prince William, and the Princess of Wales.
Before the royals hosted heads of state on September 18 ahead of the Queen’s state funeral, the stunning photo was taken inside Buckingham Palace. The royals appeared incredibly elegant in the picture during what would have been a heartbreaking moment for the family. With his arm around his wife, Charles posed while holding his hand in his pocket. The Princess of Wales put her arm around her husband, who stood by his father’s side.
The group all wore black because the royal period of mourning was still in effect. Camilla and Kate looked elegant in their flowing dresses, while Charles and William looked very smart in their suits.
Other working royals, such as Princess Anne, Prince Edward, and Sophie Wessex, attended the event even though they weren’t visible in the picture.
New UK Prime Minister Liz Truss and her husband Hugh O’Leary, US President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden, and King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain were among the prominent guests.
The new King and Queen Consort arrived at their Birkhall residence, which is located on the late monarch’s Balmoral estate, after the Queen’s state funeral.
In the wake of Storm Fiona’s destruction, they contacted Mary Simon, the Governor General of Canada, while they were there.
The message said: “My wife and I were most concerned to hear of the appalling devastation caused by storm Fiona and particularly wanted to send our profound sympathy to the people of Atlantic Canada whose lives, livelihoods and properties have been so badly affected by this disaster.
“We have fond memories of our recent visit to your beautiful region and know that your resilience and sense of community will help you through these unbelievably difficult times.
“We would also like to express our deep appreciation to the first responders, the military and to community members who are doing so much to support others during this extremely challenging period.
“Our thoughts and prayers are very much with all of you as you work to recover and rebuild.”
