Archie and Lilibet’s parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, returned to Montecito last week after being away for a considerable amount of time.
The royal couple originally intended to travel quickly through Germany and the United Kingdom for the Invictus Games, but they decided to stay longer after the passing of Harry’s grandmother, the Queen. Harry and Meghan stayed in the UK until after the state funeral for the Queen on September 19, after which they left for their home country two days later.
It makes sense that the couple would want to spend more time with their beloved children after being apart for such a long time, and according to HELLO!, Harry and Meghan will be taking this week off to be with their kids.
However, Meghan’s Archetypes will return the following week, according to Variety, where the Duchess will speak with comedian Margaret Cho about Asian-American stereotypes.
Following the death of the Queen on September 8th, the podcast, which publishes once a week on a Tuesday, had to postpone a number of episodes.
Close friend and tennis pro Serena Williams, pop icon Mariah Carey, and actress Mindy Kaling were among the previous guests.
The Duchess of Sussex revealed how Archie greets his parents at the school gates in an interview with The Cut. Harry and Meghan are very close with their kids.
After accompanying Meghan on the school run, journalist Allison P. Davis wrote: “He runs toward her while chanting “Momma, Momma, Momma” in a small voice out of excitement and drops his lunchbox on the ground. Both of them close their eyes as she snatches him up in a bear hug that is so genuine in its emotion.”
Allison went on to say “Archie jumps out of the car as we approach the house. Archie flings himself around Harry’s legs as he ends a phone call.”
