The wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex sparked a lot of conversation, including questions about Meghan Markle’s place in the royal family.
The former rugby player husband of Zara Tindall, Mike, is one individual who has experience with the transition.
He previously discussed his opinions on the former actress’ new role with Good Morning Britain in 2018.
When asked how he believed Meghan would handle it, Mike replied: “She may be anxious, but given her background in television, she is accustomed to being in the public eye.
“She’ll be fine and I believe she is wise enough to realize that the only thing she can do is enjoy the day. Probably not quite as much has happened this week [before the wedding] but she’ll be fine.
The best thing about the royal family is that they are so kind and will approach people who are acting a little on edge and immediately diffuse the tension in the room.
It’s a special day for them both, and I hope they have a peaceful moment to themselves during the day and actually enjoy it. Hopefully they will live happily ever after.
After a lovely wedding ceremony in Windsor, the couple welcomed their son Archie into the world in May 2019.
They declared their intention to leave the royal life at the beginning of 2020. Megan discussed the difficult ceremony in a recent and extremely rare interview with The Cut.
She then quoted what she claims was the conclusion of a speech she gave at her wedding to The Cut journalist Allison P. Davis, saying she found solace in the “resounding knowledge that, above all, love wins.”
