Prince George, 9, has a seemingly endless list of hobbies available to him at his new school, Lambrook, including everything from podcasting to mini MasterChef. However, there is one particular trip that is likely to appeal to the young royal, and his mother, Princess Kate, is surely to support him.
According to HELLO!, Lambrook gives all year 7 students the opportunity to go on a canoeing trip to Sweden and encourages students to raise £500 to go in order to pay for the same trip for less fortunate kids.
Both of Prince George’s parents enjoy canoeing; Prince William and Princess Kate were seen canoeing together in Canada in 2008.
During a trip to Northern Ireland in 2019, the Princess of Wales once more got in a canoe to demonstrate her athletic prowess as a member of a canoeing team.
Since Princess Kate is the only known royal who has experience canoeing, she is a trailblazer that her young son will undoubtedly want to follow. Prince Edward and Sophie Wessex have also been spotted in a canoe, though they were just taking in the view and not actually rowing!
Prior to this, Prince George joined his grandparents, Carole and Mike Middleton, on a boat for The King’s Cup Regatta in 2019. This demonstrated Prince George’s aptitude for life on the water.
George, who was six years old at the time, looked adorable in his nautical attire, which included a Breton-striped top and even a sailor’s hat.
The future King was pictured watching the races from a boat with his grandfather Michael and some friends, his front teeth noticeably missing.
