Harry, 38, joined his brother, the Prince of Wales, for the Queen’s state ceremonies despite having taken a break from his royal duties.

The Queen’s coffin was being removed from Westminster Hall, in the center of the Palace of Westminster, where she had been lying in state, as Prince William, wearing his RAF No. 1 uniform, and Prince Harry, wearing formal funeral attire and medals, marched slowly behind their father, King Charles III.

The brothers’ cousin Peter Phillips, the Princess Royal’s son and the eldest grandchild of the Queen, had accompanied them as they traveled to the abbey. The Prince of Wales saluted as the coffin was raised from the gun carriage as the procession came to a stop after its brief circuit of Parliament Square. His brother, meanwhile, bowed his head.

The brothers marched once more solemnly behind the gun carriage as their wives followed behind in slowly moving cars after the funeral’s rendition of the national anthem, they joined the massive procession escorting the Queen on the start of her final journey.
