During the committal service at Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral, the Prince and Princess of Wales moved aside to make room for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Since Prince Harry moved to America and stepped down as a senior royal, the brothers and their partners were rarely seen together in public, so this was a rare occasion for them to interact.

In a brief moment, Prince William and his wife in Windsor’s St. George’s Hall allowed his brother and his wife, Meghan, to find their seats.
This location will hold special significance for The Duke and Duchess of Sussex because it served as the site of their wedding in 2018.
Princess Charlotte of Wales, the daughter of Prince William and Kate, turned to look at Meghan at Westminster Abbey, and Meghan could be seen smiling at her.

The royal family has made an effort to reassure the young royals who attended the funeral. Mike Tindall, Viscount Severn, and Sophie Wessex have all been pictured placing reassuring hands on James or Prince George, respectively.
Prince Louis and other younger royals were not present, presumably because they were too young for the important event.
At 11 a.m., the state funeral for Her Majesty began at Westminster Abbey. King Charles and senior members of the royal family followed the coffin during the televised service, which also featured a national moment of silence.

The Queen’s coffin was then transported to Windsor for another service with the royal family while being draped in the royal standard.
The King George VI memorial chapel in Windsor will serve as the Queen’s final resting place. The Queen will receive Philip, who was originally interred in the Royal Vault of St. George’s Chapel.
Later this evening, a private service featuring senior members of the royal family will be held.
