Zara and Mike Tindall were present at the vigil held by the Queen’s four children, along with other royal family members.
Zara and Mike brought their young daughters Mia and Lena, and Peter Phillips brought his two young daughters, Savannah and Isla, despite the fact that it was anticipated that only the Queen’s children would attend. The young girls’ entire outfits, including their hairbands, were all black. Lucas, Zara’s son, stayed at home, likely due to his young age while the older daughters might have a better understanding of what was going on.
When speaking of her own children, Princess Kate had made a similar admission, revealing that only her oldest son, Prince George, had a complete understanding of the circumstances.
King Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward, the Queen’s four children, stood watch by the coffin for fifteen minutes during the vigil.
Princess Beatrice, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, Lady Louise Windsor, James, Viscount Severn, Peter Phillips, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent, Prince and Princess Michael of Kent, Princess Alexandra, and Lady Ogilvy were also in attendance.
Since Wednesday, the Queen has been lying in state, and thousands of people have traveled to London to pass the coffin, spending hours in line.
On Monday, the four royal children had previously stood watch over their mother’s casket as it lay in St. Giles’ Cathedral.
The Queen Consort and the Countess of Wessex sat on seats opposite the coffin as a show of support during the ten-minute vigil held by the Queen’s four children, which took place between 7:46 and 7:56 p.m.
All of the Queen’s grandchildren are anticipated to attend a second vigil on Saturday.
In addition to his brother Prince Harry, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Zara Tindall, Lady Louise Windsor, and James, Viscount Severn, Prince William will stand at the head of the coffin.
