Following the passing of Her Majesty the Queen, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have already decided to stay in the UK.
Additionally, it appears that the Duchess has made the decision to put all of her responsibilities on hold as she and the rest of the royal family continue to mourn the monarch.
It has been confirmed that Meghan has stopped publishing new episodes of her Archetypes podcast on Spotify for the duration of the Queen’s funeral.
Since its debut on August 23, three complete episodes of the audio series have been made available. These episodes feature interviews with actress and producer Mindy Kaling, pop star Mariah Carey, and seasoned tennis player Serena Williams.
New episodes of Archetypes will be paused during the period of official mourning for Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth II, according to a message on the podcast’s Spotify page.
The “royal mourning” period will last for seven days following the Queen’s funeral on Monday, September 19.
Members of the royal family, Royal Household staff, representatives of the Royal Household on official duties, along with troops assigned to ceremonial duties, will observe the royal mourning, according to Buckingham Palace.
At the same time, until the conclusion of the Queen’s funeral day, there is a period of national mourning.
In a moving remembrance of his late grandmother on Monday, Harry thanked the Queen for her “sound counsel” and praised her “infectious smile.”
He added that because of her dedication to duty and service, she served as a “guiding compass” in a statement.
“”Let us echo the words she spoke after the passing of her husband, Prince Philip, words which can bring comfort to all of us now: “Life, of course, consists of final partings as well as first meetings,” he said, in part. “Her unwavering grace and dignity remained true throughout her life and now her everlasting legacy.”
“While we are very sad to say goodbye, Granny, I will always be grateful for all of our first encounters, from the time I first remember you as my grandmother to the first time I met you as my commander-in-chief to the first time you hugged your cherished great-grandchildren.
We now honor my father in his new role as King Charles III when it comes to first meetings. “I cherish these times shared with you, and the many other special moments in between. You are already sorely missed, not just by us, but by the world over.”
As Harry put it, “We, too, smile knowing that you and Grandpa are reunited now, and both together in peace. Thank you for your commitment to service. Thank you for your sound advice. Thank you for your infectious smile.
