Kate loves tennis a lot.

In 2017, Kate shared some interesting anecdotes about her tennis-loving family during an appearance on the BBC documentary Sue Barker: Our Wimbledon, including one instance when her father, Michael Middleton, left her feeling “mortified.”

The Duchess of Cambridge is truly glowing

“My father is not going to appreciate this but we were walking past Tim Henman and we had just seen Sampras play,” she recalled her father saying as they passed the former British No. 1 tennis player Tim Henman.

“Hi Pete,” my dad uttered in a cool manner. I was mortified!

Kate said of her passion for the game: “I have watched Wimbledon; it was an important part of my upbringing.

“It’s such an iconic part of the English summer, and I think it really inspires kids. I know it inspired me to start playing the game when I was younger. I believe that’s what makes it so wonderful that it hasn’t changed either.

“I don’t believe she’ll mind if I say that. I believe he is also aware of that.

Kate, Prince William, and her parents Michael and Carole attended Wimbledon earlier this week as spectators.

They first saw British aspirant Cameron Norrie defeat David Goffin in the quarterfinals before seeing Novak Djokovic defeat Jannik Sinner.
