Meghan Markle consoled Prince Harry after a polo loss in the United States, amid his ongoing feud with his brother, the Duke of Cambridge, according to pals.
Meghan joined other WAGs at the Santa Barbara Polo & Racquet Club to cheer on her husband’s team, the Los Padres, as they faced Folded Hills in a semi-final game.
When his chances of reaching the final dwindled, he was photographed with his hand on his leg, offering him support, while Harry was photographed shouting in frustration.
It comes after a close friend of Prince William told the Daily Mail that the brothers’ relationship is “at rock bottom” after they spent so little time together at the Jubilee.
The future king, who will turn 40 next week, believes his younger brother has crossed a line, according to friends.
They explained: “He goes back and forth between grieving for what he’s lost and being furious at what his brother has done,’ one said.
“He adores Harry and believes that, aside from his wife, he has lost the only person who understands their strange existence.
“However, he believes there are some things you simply do not do. And Harry has completely stepped over the line.”
Harry has signed up to play the entire polo season with his pal Nacho Figueras, who has been dubbed the David Beckham of polo, as part of the Sussexes’ new lives in the United States after leaving the royal family.
During yesterday’s sporting feature, Meghan was seen hugging Nacho and chatting with his wife Delfina Blaquier on the sidelines.
In the sunny weather, the Duchess looked stunning in denim shorts and a denim shirt.
Her hair was in a messy bun, and she wore them with big black sunglasses and brown sandals.
She was seen sitting in fold-up chairs in the team’s shaded area, drinking a cool beverage from a clear plastic glass while watching the game.
It’s Harry’s second match since returning to the UK for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, during which the couple was reunited with several members of the royal family for the first time since their explosive Oprah Winfrey interview.
In a heart-stopping moment during last week’s game, he was thrown from his horse.
Fortunately, both the prince and his horse were unharmed in the incident, and he was quickly back in the saddle, despite his team’s 12-11 defeat.
