Prince William believes Harry has been sucked into a “alien world” and Kate has been “disrespected” on Oprah, according to a royal source.
When the Duke of Sussex stepped down as a senior royal to move to the United States with his wife Meghan Markle, tensions between the brothers began to rise.
There have been more reported feuds since then, the most recent of which was sparked by Harry and Meghan’s candid interview with Oprah Winfrey.
According to a source close to the Duke of Cambridge, his brother has slipped into a “alien world” since leaving the UK for the United States.
“William is absolutely allergic to drama, but Harry has ensured that the family laundry is being aired on a global scale,” a source told Mail Online.
“I believe they will be in a better position in the future, but not right now.” And too much water has passed under the bridge for things to ever return to normal.
“To tell you the truth, William believes Harry has been sucked into an alien world and there’s nothing he can do about it.”
“However, he does want Harry to be happy, and if he stops sprinkling dust in their faces, he might be able to forgive and forget.”
Meanwhile, according to another source, William is still enraged with his younger sister after she was “disrespected” in the explosive Oprah interview.
During a “stressful” fitting in November 2018, it was reported that Meghan “left Kate in tears” over her demands for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaids dress.
The “rift” was said to have started when Kate suggested that the bridesmaids follow royal protocol by wearing tights, which Meghan disagreed with.
However, when Oprah asked Meghan if it was true that she made Kate cry during her explosive interview, Meghan replied: “No, no, the opposite occurred.
She also claimed Kate had apologized by bringing her flowers.
“It obviously never occurred [to Meghan] that they were a peace offering, not an apology,” the source said.
“Despite much provocation, both William and Catherine have tried harder than anyone will ever realize to keep the peace.”
Following reports that William spent “no time” with his brother during the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, this comes as a surprise.
The brothers were both at St Paul’s Cathedral for the Thanksgiving Service but did not speak to each other.
They were seated on opposite sides of the room, which revealed how their roles had evolved.
And William is said to be still hurting from Harry and Meghan’s departure from the royal family.
“He’s still deeply upset about it and feels let down,” a friend told The New York Times.”
