Mike Tindall referred to Prince Harry as a “b***end” during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The former English rugby player was overheard referring to the Duke of Sussex’s behavior as “b***endish,” according to a source.
According to the Daily Express, he made the remark to a fellow guest at a reception held after the televised Platinum Party concert at Buckingham Palace on June 4.
Except for a thanksgiving service the day before the concert, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were noticeably absent from all of the jubilee events.
Following the ceremony on June 3, television footage showed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle approaching Mr Tindall and his wife Zara, the Queen’s granddaughter.
By staring into the distance and then speaking to other royals, Mr Tindall appeared to avoid speaking to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
“With Mike’s closeness to William in mind, it also appeared to have created a bit of a dilemma as Harry stepped out into Zara’s group as they waited for their transport,” body language expert Judi James told the Express.
“Zara appears to enjoy chatting and even turns to face Harry, who appears anxious and eager to get into his own car.
“Mike, on the other hand, continues to face forward, looking around and awkwardly holding up his order of service.
“In the end, he speaks with Viscount Lindley, who turns away from Harry and cuts the two men off from Zara’s conversation with Harry.”
“This isn’t Mike’s usual demeanor; he usually appears too laid-back and tough to get involved in politics, and it’s possible that his attention was diverted to arranging the right cars, but there are no signs of a farewell from him.”
A request for comment has been made to Mr Tindall.
“It was at the concert where there was a bit more of a chat together because we went in and had a drink with everyone after,” Mr Tindall previously told The Good, The Bad, and The Rugby podcast about the Platinum Party.
“I think the committee that put it together did an amazing job,” says the author.
