Since resuming their roles as senior working royals in 2020, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have lined up a number of exciting projects. One of the most eagerly anticipated projects is their upcoming podcast, Archetypes, which will debut this summer after a one-off Christmas special in 2020.
However, fans who tune in expecting to hear about royal life from Meghan or Harry are unlikely to get the inside scoop.
That’s because Harry’s promise to “protect” the Queen means they won’t discuss what it’s like to be a part of the institution’s staff.
The couple spent more than a year finalizing the details of their podcast, and royal fans will be curious to hear what topics the parents-of-two discuss – and whether Lili, like her brother Archie, will appear on the show in the future!
The Duke and Duchess’ Archewell foundation announced the podcast’s impending release in a statement earlier this year.
It said: “As we all work to combat the misinformation era, Archewell Audio has found it critical to collaborate with our Spotify partners to ensure that the digital technologies that so many of us use every day are founded on strong trust and safety principles.
“We’ve been working closely with their team—as well as their senior leadership—on policies, practices, and strategies to raise creator awareness, minimize the spread of misinformation, and support transparency, and we’ve been encouraged by ongoing conversations we’ve had with Spotify on this shared goal.
“As Archewell Audio moves forward, we, too, want to be responsible stewards of an audio landscape that is well-resourced with quality, fact-based information—especially when it comes to public health.”
After Meghan and Harry expressed their concern about COVID-19 misinformation on Spotify, including Joe Rogan’s show, the confirmation came.
